He or she will make you discover some unknown, hidden places full of charm and devoid of tourists… And some experiences can be memorable. Burgenland – the exotic land of Austria

A few days ago I was invited by the people from Austria Incoming to spend a longer weekend (including Friday) in Austria, to be more specific in the Burgenland land, somewhere close to Vienna, on the Hungarian border. Of course, I gladly agreed, so, after only a few days after my homecoming from China, there I am again at Otopeni, embarking on a Niki flight to Vienna and further on towards Burgenland. read more…

Tonight I am going to Budapest – for the Sziget festival !

A new weekend is approaching, so I need to go somewhere. Last weekend, I’ve been to Sibiu (yes, I need to write about it), two weekends ago, I was on the Romanian seaside at a pretty luxurious hotel, now it is the case for some music action… So, this weekend brings me a new experience – I am going to Budapest for the Sziget music festival !

7 Wonders of Romania

During the last few months, I had a special project on my Romanian blog. I asked my readers to take part at the process of electing the 7 wonders of Romania – the most important men-built monuments of my country. The election was organized in two rounds – in the first round, I asked people to nominate 10 “wonders” – the monuments they believe are representative for Romania. After 3 weeks, I counted all the nominations and I set up a list of the 15 most nominated monuments of Romania. In the second round, my readers were asked to vote 7 out of these 15 choices. The response was truly overwhelming. I received thousands of nominations (almost 150 nominated monuments) and almost 4000 votes in the final round. So, I decided that my first post about my country to present you what Romania has the best. Not selected by myself, but by thousands of voters ! So, let’s start a journey amongst the best Romania can show to the world.

Photo Story: Hvar, Croatia

It is one of the sunniest towns of Croatia and of Europe. But, on top, it has a wonderful old city, one of the those perfectly preserved historical towns of the Croatia’s Dalmatic Coast.
