Indonesia is a huge country, some people call it a continent. Well, it stretches almost 5000 km from West to East and this is comparable to Europe or America. So, there is no wonder – Indonesia is such a diverse countries with so many cultures to enjoy, sites to visit and experiences to have. Indonesia has no less than 6000 inhabited islands and hundreds of languages spoken. Hotel Hyatt Sanur – Bali: Welcome to Paradise!

Today, I will present another super hotel, also from Bali – Hotel Hyatt Sanur. Unfortunately it doesn’t cost 29 euros , but it is simply superb, so I didn’t resist the temptation of presenting it here. I stayed there twice – in 2004 and in 2009 and it seemed to me the closest place to how I imagine paradise to be …Not necessarily the hotel in such, but especially the gardens – they are an absolutely wonderful combination of orchids, frangipani, hibiscus and bougainvillea. Actually, the different building parts of the hotel are named after these gorgeous flowers.

Bali – Where Luxury only Costs a Few Euro

A friend of mine accused me jokingly that I trash the noble ideals of backpacking by writing about paradise like places, but also very expensive ones…He was having my post about the Anantara Hotel in the Maldives in mind. Few Days in Paradise – Bali. Episode 2: Bedugul, Mengwi, Tanah Lot

Bali is a mountainous island dominated by volcanoes. Some are extinct, others are still active, but there is, obviously, no risk involved, as they are carefully monitored… whenever an erruption is imminent, people will have been warned a few weeks in advance… But, the Ubud mountains are unbelievably beautiful, and the landscapes are absolutely breathtaking… It is worth renting a car and visiting as many places on the island as possible before enjoying a sunset in Tanah Lot.
