Caribbean Log – Powered by British Airways. The British First Class Experience!

I have accumulated about 900,000 kilometers of plane flying and more than 650 flights. I’ve flown with high-class airlines, but also with airplanes that needed a few well-aimed hammer shots before take-off… I’ve flown high cost and low cost, Business Class (intercontinental routes included), but also sitting on the back row, close to the toilet door… There was one single experience I had missed and really wanted to have: a First Class flight… What is First Class? It’s the supreme airline confort. You can only enjoy it on intercontinental routes and it is better than anything else – including Business Class. Caribbean Log – Powered by British Airways. Smugglers Cove Hotel, St. Lucia

Let’s take a short break from my stories and present you the hotel I stayed. Actually, it is not a hotel, it is an all-inclusive resort called “The Smugglers’ Cove”. Apparently, in this hidden gulf, the smugglers did a very lucrative business with the surrounding islands, so the name remained. Now the only smugglers seem to be the US tourists who smuggle margaritas all over the property. For some reason, they cannot make mojito, which I would also smuggle…

Caribbean Log – Powered by British Airways. A Day of Rum with Stormy Norman

This morning did not start on the right foot. At first, the morning sky was not as clear as it used to be the days before. Then we found out we could not go around the island with the catamaran, as planned. And then the sun became so bright, that if I stayed in the water, I might have burned all the parts of my body… Therefore I needed some sudden inspiration…

Caribbean Log – Powered by British Airways. St. Lucia, the Drive-In Paradise

St. Lucia: Soufriere

After a whole day of sensational sightseeing on St. Lucia, with views where the land and the water of the Caribbean got together, what could we possibly have next? Nothing came more natural than a visit on dry land, with the occasional glance to the water… And what could have been easier for that than renting a car, driver included?
