Punta Cana Nightlife

19 June 2016 travel stories 2 comments

For night owls, it can be tempting to rebook the same holidays to well known party destinations such as Ibiza, Majorca and Miami but if you’re looking for a new destination to try then the idyllic Caribbean island of the Dominican Republic might just be what you’re looking for.

Punta Cana, situated in the easternmost province of the Dominican Republic, is a beach-lovers paradise. Its 25 miles of white sand and crystal clear water are dotted with coconut trees, making it look exactly like those dream getaways you see in travel brochures. Even better, its nightlife rivals even the most popular of destinations.

A Nightclub Meets Circus

The Coco Bongo Show and Disco is one of Punta Cana’s most popular attractions for its unique mix of club dance hits while circus performers entertain the crowds with amazing acrobatics on stage. Tickets are usually available with unlimited drink packages and most nights will have celebrity tribute acts such as Michael Jackson and Pitbull performing too. The club even puts on reenactments from popular movies such as Moulin Rouge and Tron so you can party the night away feeling spoilt for entertainment.

Dance in a Cave

If you enjoy partying in unusual places then the Imagine Punta Cana Cave Disco is a must-visit. The venue consists of three different caves each with their own resident DJ playing different music, meaning that there will be something for most tastes. Tickets include drinks (the Imagine signature cocktail is a must) and there is even pick-up and drop off from your hotel available. Never before has dancing seemed quite so scenic.

For the Rock and Roll Touch

You might love music but that doesn’t mean that you love dance music, or indeed, going to a club. But fear not, if you prefer your music heavy then the Punta Cana Hard Rock Hotel might just be your perfect getaway. Not only can you stay in this American-inspired rock resort, but you can get your own little taste of Las Vegas in paradise at the hotel’s famous casino. Be sure to check the resort’s website to see all their latest events as the hotel often puts on big events such as the Caribbean Poker Party set to take place later this year.

Up in Smoke

If you enjoy the occasional cigar then a nighttime visit to Vivaldi Cigars is an absolute must. Not only will you hear lots of interesting facts about Vivaldi cigars – but you’ll learn them from Mr Vivaldi himself! Match one of the many cigars on sale with a cold beer or scotch and you’ll find yourself in smoker’s paradise. The owner will even help cigar virgins find their perfect smoke in this wonderfully personal experience.

Hello. Thanks for a great post. As far as I know, Punta Cana is one of the world’s most famous and popular travel destinations. I have heard many positive words regarding nightlife in Punta Cana. By the way, you mentioned Hard Rock Hotels in Punta Cana. I have been to that hotel while I was in Brasil. The hotel is truly amazing. Every Hard Rock hotel has its private VIP night club. This is what I really liked the best in that hotel.
Thank you very much for the post!
